Yes this is something I would like to see too. I trained locally (NZ) as an intuitive therapist many years ago and have been developing my intuition for 12 years now. Most of what I have read is within the realms of healing and meta physics but every now and then I pop into academic portals I have access to at the time to see if anyone is exploring it in academia - I haven't found anything and I haven't done this for a while. One of my lecturers at University of Canterbury, Peter Cammock, wrote "The Dance of Leadership - The Call for Soul in 21st Century leadership" and "The Spirit of Leadership: Exploring the Personal Foundations of Extraordinary Leadership" and touches on intuition. Caroline Myss PhD (USA) is a favourite of mine. The only 'model' I can think of is the different ways that intuition can come - clairvoyance (seeing in the minds eye); Clairaudience (hearing messages); Clairsentience (Feelings); and Claircognizance (a knowing).
Your answer is basically what I have found. I haven't found any journal that consistently is dedicated to this topic. To my knowledge, articles come along now-and-then from diverse sources or as part of an article. This is why my first response was to read Schrodinger's lectures at Trinity College Dublin. These are on the internet, and I found them very interesting. I thought the material might be indexed to journals dealing with the topic. Another possibility might be to look at the psychological literature/journals. Having taught psychology at the university (and later a dean), I did cover this topic in upper-level psychology classes.
