You have to take into consideration necessary changes in technology of cultivation and its influence on environment and costs of production. This includes different timings and methods for mechanical cultivations (dry springs, where moving of soil decreases humidity), differences in pests and pathogens attacking crops, influencing protection programs, changes in winter survival (for crops and pests/weeds also).

I agree with Mr Laxmi Paint, it is not easy or simple to give a exhaustive answer to this question. Global warming is a phenomenon that has to do with the natural factors that evolve in the atmosphere, as well as with the economic and social activities of humanity, where agriculture has no doubt its role. Of course, the changes that have to do with agricultural production technologies and their impact on the environment, quality and production costs have to be taken into account. More important is to aim and work with dedication to using methods and cultivation systems, more support with materials and technological processes that are more environmentally friendly.

Since most all the information we have concerning climate change comes from computer modeling and the information input into the models is sometimes "less than perfect," it is hard to know what for what to plan. To answer a general query with exacting terms seems silly to me, so I opt for a broad answer. Using words not understandable to a 10 year old confuses the situation and is unhelpful.

These things we know for absolute certain. Earth changes over time. Generally, degradation is the path followed, not construction (in broad terms). Human population is increasing and the amount of resources used per human is also increasing. Therefore, we need more space, or less people, OR more efficiency. I neither want to kill off half my kids, nor do I wish to mail my kids to Mars to grow potatoes. I suspect most other Earthlings might agree.

In areas where heat increases, the number of generations each insect species per year is increased. This is affected by increased or decreased moisture. With increasing temperature, agricultural entomology becomes more critical. IPM MUST be used to reduce pesticide expense, ecological contamination & the development of more super bugs. More moisture can also mean far more insects.

Weeds follow a similar pattern to entomology. Rodents & avians follow the increasing plant life as do larger herbivorous mammals, followed by predator species.

Molds, fungi & pathology ALL become far more dangerous to human activities with increasing moisture.

If Earth gets warmer, we might be in luck since tropical & subtropical plants are far more nutritious for humans and we will be able to get more growing seasons per field. The downside is that some peoples might need to practice breathing underwater and growing food in aquatic environments. A colder Earth makes indoor growing and efficient energy-saving construction far more important but it reduces difficulties with pests & pathology.

IF we can guess what terrain is most likely to become more arid/moist and which terrain is likely to become more warm/cold, we can plan ahead for a variety of scenarios. Crop selections must change to accommodate new climactic situations. The best way to prepare is to practice producing with less inputs & recycling far more. We should invest heavily in indoor produce growing facilities near all population centers. We must find ways to economically profit from waste, collecting energy from burning waste, recycling our plastics, metals & nutrients and designing our semi-durable & durable products to last longer, rather than to be used and rapidly replaced. (Northern Europe has the best recycling tech). Our buildings should be designed to use 20-90% less energy for heating & cooling (easily done in most areas of the world with existing construction technology where US leads).

We must waste far less, and practice reducing the impacts of what we do waste. EFFICIENCY is the primary goal. Minimal environmental impact is the secondary goal. Why? If ecological protection is inefficient, it becomes economically unfeasible and therefore unsustainable.

In the context of the progressive warming of the Earth's climate, the following question is of particular importance:

To what extent does the intensification of livestock farming affect the global warming process?

What share of intensive industrial production of agricultural and industrial livestock farming contributes to greenhouse gas emissions?
