What are the pesticide residues that can be measured with UV-visible spectrophotometry? And if possible, what are the reliable protocols to achieve this as well as the limits of detections?
I try to measure the residues of pesticides in cultivated agricultural plots, so the matrices to be analyzed are water, soil and probabely the agri-food products.
So we are in a context where we use a lot of active molecules and so I look for the active molecules that I can detect by UV-visible spectrometry.
No. They are too low for UV-Vis. They are likely to be in a concentration of ppb or ppt. They can only be separated and quantitated by LC/MS/MS and/or GC/MS/MS. See United States EPA analytical methods.
