It is no secret to everyone that most of the causes of infertility are genetic, but there is little research in this field that needs answers supported by research and studies concerning the genes that cause infertility, especially in women.

BMP15, FMR1, and PGRMC1 genes are located on the human X chromosome and have been linked with ovarian development and POI. Structural X chromosome abnormalities, rather than gene-specific abnormalities, may be the major reason for germ cell loss.
