It is impossible to maintain social distancing between caretakers of epileptic patients during this COVID-19 pandemic. As result most of these patients are always in close proximity with the caretakers making them susceptible to COVID-19 infections.

Patients with epilepsy are not more likely to be infected with COVID-19 or to have severe symptom. However, the stress status related to the COVID-19 outbreak could be a trigger for seizures in patients with epilepsy.
Alarakol...Todo paciente epiléptico es susceptible de infectarse con el virus covid 19. Si el paciente está medicado adecuadamente, su comportamiento no necesariamente tendrá esa conducta. Ellos son personas que pueden comprender mensajes de sus cuidadores, como por ejemplo la razón de mantener la distancia, especialmente si se les organiza mediante actividades donde ellos estén con su atención dirigida hacia actividades de laborterapia y o deportivas, en otras palabras que estén ocupados en actividades terapéuticas.Tambien hay que instruir a los cuidadores, tal vez ellos no tienen la información adecuada de cómo relacionarse con este tipo de pacientes.Es o que le puedo ofrecer de mi experiencia en las relaciones con este tipo de patología.

with seizures.Their immune status is generally the same as the rest of the population. Their biggest obstacle may be obtaining the appropriate diagnosis and medication at a reasonable price.

The care and management of epileptic patients during the times of COVID-19 has become a challenge (1-3) as COVID-19 can itself be complicated by intractable epilepsy (or status epilepticus) due to CNS involvement (4-6).
