I already use this way to check scientific journals. It is very useful! But, I would really like to know about the repositories. In addition to Web of Science and Scopus, what bases are next?
It really depends on what type of literature you are looking for. There are different repositories and some of them are in specialized topic areas. Here I have mentioned few:
PsycINFO:
It includes studies related to cognitive and behavioral therapies.
CINAHL:
It includes studies related to health, patient care and nursing.
PubMed (MEDLINE):
It includes life sciences and biomedical literature.
Embase:
It also includes biomedical and pharmacological literature. Approximately 85% overlap with MEDLINE.
Sociological Abstracts:
This is a repository of sociological literature. It is useful for community-related studies or interpersonal issues.
RePEc IDEAS:
This is a repository of economics literature. It includes bibliographic metadata from many archives.
EconLit:
This is a repository of economics, which includes social interventions and many medical ones.
Scopus:
It includes literature in the areas of health, life, physical and social sciences.
Web of Science:
It provides access to multiple databases of science, social science, arts, humanities and supports 256 disciplines.
For unpublished literature including meeting abstracts, white papers and other grey literature:
OpenGrey:
It includes records from biomedicine and other sciences, economics, and the humanities
Grey Literature Report:
It includes listings of recently published reports in health science and public health.
BIOSIS Previews:
It includes proceedings of many meetings that may not be electronically available elsewhere.
I thank you for sharing these bases, some did not know.
But my question is generally speaking, regardless of whether the base covers one or more disciplines. In hierarchy, which would be the most important, although one or the other may cover only one area of knowledge.
The below link might be useful for you because here you can see the top list of academic research databases, their coverage and can easily get which is at the top or bottom through coverage status.
