I am teaching isiXhosa to students in other Faculties and it is a prerequisite and thus compulsory. The challenge is that they often lose interest in the class and I am now trying to explore technological platforms such as YouCam 7 and Poll Everywhere to keep them engaged in class. The effectiveness of these platforms is short-lived. I need advise on other innovative ways of teaching non-speakers of the language can you recommend as well as assessment criteria to use.
