Attention economy is a new concept - very contemporary. We have extensively worked on this in Australia and the UK. Scholars have rightly predicted that in today's era the most scared resource is the attention of the audience/consumers. The reason is very clear - in today's digital scenario, everybody is eager to draw attention. On top of that, there are efforts to retain the attention. Just look at the digital tools, contents, social-networks, digital ads and new things are just coming up everyday. My current research on sexually explicit materials in media attempts to explore how these explicit materials are being used to draw and retain the attention of the audience - what are the relevant implications of it on audience of various socio-cultural, religious and demographic backgrounds?

These issues are little controversial but the reality remains that these contents are increasingly impacting the modern era - globally. So, attention here is needed.
