Any oilseed crop could be used. Soybeans are probably the most commonly studied. Others include peanuts, cottonseed, canola, and olives. There are many others you could also try.
Thanks for your review Greg Cote .But most of the oil extraction through seed is done by press extraction method . For my case I am designing test rig based on steam extraction method . Through research i found out that most of the plant that is used in steam extraction method is mint leave and lavender flower. These plants need few hours almost like 10 to 12 hours in order to see few drop of oil . The processing time become problem now . That;s why I looking for other plant instead of it with shorter processing time and high oil contain.
Eucalyptus leaves, citrous leaves may be tried to begin with. The actual contents of the oil extracted may not be visualised. Separate oil contents through partition coefficient in a separating funnel.
For a shorter processing time, extraction through Soxhlet apparatus can also be done.
