Greeting , I think the using of nanomaterials in manufacturing the bearing pads is to enhance of performance of bearing and increase wear resistance ,stable value of coefficient of friction (m) under various operating and environmental conditions like applied brake pressure, increase pad temperature,and humidity .

These parameters are important in the design of bearing pads. In other applications of pads the compression loading is essential and therefore, the compression test should be achieved and the best correlation may be obtained depending upon the objective parameter. Best regards.
