I am trying to connect two sockets( sockets being flat surfaces on both sides) using powerful (small sized ~8mm diameter) neodymium magnets with 3 or 4 on each side of the socket so that the pull of the magnets keep the connecting terminals on point. However, I am concerned about the effects of the magnets on the flow of AC (220V 10A).

Description of Figure:

  • The Four circular discs represent magnets
  • The large socket in the center is for power supply socket
  • The magnets might be too close to thee power supply socket in actual product
  • The disc on the right is the counter part of the left
