I am trying to simulate the cutting process of Stone and marble using abrasive disc cutter. Can someone suggest me what are the models that i can look into which help me in simulating the whole process.
Thanks and Regards,
Bhargav Prajwal Pathri.
Dear Bhargav,
Please find attached a schematic representation of the interaction between the grinding wheel or cutting disc and the rock surface.
Maybe it will help you in solving your task.
Best regards,
Guenter
Sir,
Thank you for schematic diagram which clearly outlines the whole mechanism.
Can someone please suggest me how to start, suggest some books and some papers which i could follow and start coding in Abaqus explicit. Could even learn performing Numerical simulations for...

I have been trying to find out why SEM is not preferred over optical microscopy to find out the micro-structure of marbles. Usually SEM has better magnification compared to optical microscopy.
