I want to carry out carry out Mechanical characterization of fiber and matrix individually for Polymer Matrix Composites. SO kindly suggest me the ways to do the same.

Let me know what type of fibers are you planning to do for characterization. Is it synthetic or natural fibers.
It's glass fiber and epoxy resin.. I am using bidirectional woven glass fabric..

I can suggest you the methods for mechanical characterization.
For a neat epoxy resin, you can study for mechanical test such as tensile, flexural, and compressive strength meanwhile you can perform
crack propagation study using double torsion test(DT) test. Also, water absorption studies of the resin material.
Regarding thermal characterization: finding its thermal shock, smoke emision test, flammability tests and thermal decomposition.
For fibre alone:
if you are buying from good supplier, he will mentioned most of the properties in the data sheet.
otherwise you can treat the glass fibre with any coupling agent such as silane etc. U can perform its mechancial studies such as
tensile, flexural, and compressive strength.Further you can study coupling agent interaction with resin material such using TGA, Inverse gas
chromotography, SEM etc.
You can also perform a chemical composition analysis; To determine which constituent improves the overall strength of the fibres.
