I am working on High temperature wear behaviour of an Al-Mg-Si alloy. Could you please suggest some practical techniques in order to improve the wear resistance.
I suggest you to have a look at the following, interesting papers:

Dear Mr. Moharami, one of the most common methods is adding the different elements to improve the wear resistance of Al alloys, the attached file is helpful paper about the effect of Zinc element in your topic.
1. Modify the alloy with some other alloying elements which can produce intermetallic compounds, which substantially improve the strength/wear resistance.
2. Apply high-temperature wear-resistant coating.
3. Produce composite by adding ceramic reinforcements.
I agree with Giacomo Bordiga. with the limited information provided hard, anodizing seems like a good choice for improving wear resistance. I believe it would maintain its properties up to 200 C. Micro arc oxidation is another method to improve wear resistance and improve corrosion protection as well. but the problem is that it's relatively expensive compared to regular anodizing.
