Mental Health Nurses work within a challenging, yet stimulating and ever changing practice environment. What are the views of health colleagues about the challenges and rewards with engaging clients and their families and/or caregivers?
Advantages of family involvement is in my opinion thinking in the right direction. Challenges can be probably different, depending on the family burden phenomena and individual coping with it by the families, as mentioned by many clinicists and scholars around the world.
I have in mind situations concerning psychosis. Probably the most difficult psychological situation is early time when parents, family face psychosis. A slightly different, less emotionally aggravating is the situation to the family of facing very late-onset of schizophrenia. So my conclusion will indicate the individual burden dimensions as main challenge while involving families in care and support.

(1.) Lack of proper information/education on the part of family members on how to go about and handle the mental health, especially in the various stages of the illness.
(2.) Families may face stigmatisation, even from their other close relatives and friends, which may be a very difficult social challenge to deal with. And on both the carer and family members;
