I have simulated a CPW fed monopole antenna in ANSYS HFSS. I have also fabricated it. But results are not as good as the HFSS simulation. I renormalized the port. I fabricated it twice. But there is no significant improvement. Can you suggest me some common tips and solutions regarding this issue?
In the plot, the blue one is the experimental one and the orange one is the simulated one.
Several reasons may cause to this problem.
It may because of simulation errors or mistakes on fabrications.
The range of sweep is a little large. If you are using fast sweep type and You face to messages about accuracy of sweep setup on message manager , use interpolating sweep type instead of fast.
Sharadindu Gopal Kirtania This is a classic case of 'model' not matching the 'device'. Alireza Jafarieh has already mentioned it. There is also a possibility that the measurement of the 'device' is not being done properly; the order and range of frequency necessitates complete control on the measurement setup and process. This includes calibration requirements as well.
Some questions that may help... Have you have factored the fabrication material properties correctly in simulation model? Is the fabrication vendor using the identical material? What is the manufacturing tolerance, and is the vendor reliable? Is the tolerance on material properties, manufacturing process, etc acceptable to your design?
My take: simulate and fabricate a simple antenna targeting one 'band/range' in your frequency of interest and verify the same. First you must get the simple case in control.

I think you should add connector to structure in hfss. I need to know what is your connector and substrate?

yes I have taken a basic antenna course in the USA and am going to take "Advanced Antenna Design" next semester.Fatemeh Homayoon I used the LPRS SMA connector and it is a ceramic substrate.
