Can anyone tell me about collecting methods of soft tick Ornithodoros sonrai / Ornithodoros erraticus in rodent burrows?
For instance crashing of wall of burrow or aspirating of burrow contents using aspirator.
Definitely aspirating the burrows and then use of Berlese-Tulgren funels.
Best wishes, Tomi
Thank you, Can I use a household vacuum cleaner?
Yes, of course, if you have electricity near by the burrows.
I hope this link might be of help - http://egertonvet.wcea.education/
