Search for review papers in high impact journals or journals that specialise in wider research, such as landscape. In a review paper, you might need to compare studies with different methodologies, so you would need to use a random effects model for comparison. It is a hierarchical linear model, which assumes that the data being analysed are drawn from a hierarchy of different populations whose differences relate to that hierarchy.

First read all relavent literature about your topic to understand all terminolgies and how it works.
Now take a notebook, draw a rough model and try to divide findings into parts and subheadings and integrate them into a working model.
then you can put the literature one by one into best fitting subheading or category.
The suggestions above are a good start..... Always important to understand what you want to convey and to whom..... And yes, start by reviewing the literature that relates to your topic and/or research..... there are many folks that can support you in this process... if at a University simply send out a request to the Research Department of your specialty... ie if Social Work.... approach the SW Faculty who do research etc.... In addtion many writen resources to support your efforts.... Search for already published review papers in your area of research and study the procedure. That would be more practical.
