I always like to find out the benefits of something new that I am discovering, and that I had never touched before, especially if it is something that interests me for the future, since there are usually very few social workers interested in investigating, and is here where I am learning and knowing about this. I also think it is good enough to get involved in a little-known or interested field for most people who have specialized in this profession, apart from improving your knowledge.

Here's my answer to your question.
If you are new to this field of interest, please be aware that "Information Management" is often equated with "Information Technology Management", meaning the field is regularly dominated by rather technological perspectives. If so, it's all about computers and how to manage them in organizations.
However, the field is called "Information management" not for nothing. This implies it is not a technological domain per se, but a social and organizational one that is or should be focused on the notion of information.
And therefore, if you are new to this field, I recommend to start thinking about information vis a vis your interests and work.
