I find it an interesting discussion Idrees Zebari , mainly because it focuses on Higher Education, the teaching developed at the University. I agree with the aspects already mentioned of student access, institutional support, but it would include the curriculum of the courses, the system for evaluating the teacher's career at the University, which is almost exclusively for the articles he publishes than also for the teaching activities. But in my point of view, a fundamental issue is teacher training for teaching in higher education, in many institutions there is no need for such training, it is enough to have a doctoral degree in any area and you would already be in theory prepared to teach. Will we still have a long time to recognize the importance of training for teaching in Higher Education?

There are many challenges facing teachers today. However, a few things that I believe would improve teacher effectiveness are reduction of class size, making sure they have the necessary resources, and building into the teaching day time for teachers to meet and plan together.
