I am planning to work with open source paleo-climate data for a thesis, so far the only source for these kind of data i know is : https://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/paleo-search/
Is there any other sources that provides a good amount of paleo-climate data or this the most available source currently ?
With that being said, would any paleo-scientist like to tell me what are some of the special things that you take into consideration while you are dealing with such data, especially because they are from past and mostly climatic reconstruction or proxies ? If you went through that link, you'd see most of them are in (.txt) files, therefore what would be some potential software or programming languages you have used or planning to use, that would be helpful in this regard ? or you'd process it like any usual data (e.g. netCDF are very popular in climatic studies but unfortunately i don't know whether (.nc) files exists for paleo-climate data)?
Any advice or suggestions, in addition to my question would be deeply appreciated.

These links provide access to descriptive information and explanatory notes, maps, searches, visualizations, and more. The data cover the globe, and while most span the last few millennia, some datasets extend back in time 100 million years. Most of the data are time series of geophysical or biological measurements and some include reconstructed climate variables such as temperature and precipitation.

There are several climate model predictions for the Mid-Holocene (about 6000 years ago) and the Last Glacial Maximum (about 22,000 years ago) in WorldClim 1.4 database (https://www.worldclim.org/data/v1.4/paleo1.4.html). Alos one model prediction is available for Last inter-glacial (~120,000 - 140,000 years BP).

Your vest option is NOAA. There are numerous archives of top quality, often with original articles on the matter. I have used those resources for my research and education works. One of the previous responders provided the link.

The analysis of paleoclimate data is particularly important in the context of conducting research in the field of accelerating climate change in recent years, including the progressing global warming process and the prediction of these climate changes for the next several decades or more, including in the context of determining the scale of impact and participation the development of a civilization based on the burning of minerals, greenhouse gas emissions, etc. for the global warming process, which is progressing faster and faster. The key issue is the verification of the research methods used in the context of maintaining full continuity and translating paleoclimate research (for periods of many thousands of years) into climate change that have occurred over the last several hundred years, with particular emphasis on the last over 200 years, i.e. from the beginning the first technological revolution also called the industrial revolution.

From a theoretical perspective, what processioning you generally take into consideration while dealing with secondary paleo-climate data? To put into context, many recent data that are already available throughout web (e.g. WOA, CMEMS) as climatology, reanalysis, forecast, L4 etc. are already processed and can be used directly after downloading.
Is it the same case for these secondary paleo-climate data ? or i have to go through tons of processioning, wrangling, editing ? Also how plausible is it to do a thesis completely based on data that you wonderful and helpful researchers mentioned in the links above or using advanced instruments are inevitable ?

paleoclimate data from WorldClim is ready to use.
But note that preprocessing the non-ready-to-use data is not just an unavoidable, time consuming step but it creates the ability to use the data the way you want. Ready-to-use climate data is not suitable for all tasks.

Al Nahian Bin Faruque If you are willing to use GIS for further analysis of the paleoclimate (e.g. for LGM), you can refer to this site : http://www.paleoclim.org/
They seem to provide free, high-resolution paleoclimate data for use in biological modeling and GIS for several geological time periods. However, please check the bioclimatic variables to check whether all those variables meet your requirements.
