I am a social scientist and I want to learn the basics of Bayesian Statistics without going deep into technical details (scary formulae, equations, etc.). Can someone please suggest some books, videos, websites that provide a lucid introduction to Bayesian Statistics?

A tipp: don't bother with technicalities like Monte-Carlo mthods and such. It's way more important to understand the concetp. Make yourself familiar with the (not-so-easy) concept of probability and the difference in the "frequetist interpretation" and the "Bayesian interpretation".
