Major cause of Ozone layer depletion is due to the type of gases used in Air conditioning and refrigeration. Though less harmful gases are used these days but the same can be eliminated by use of geo-thermal cooling concept which gives natural air quality and also environmental friendly. There is a need to design buildings more effectively to reduce the demand of air conditioning.
Maximum use of low energy materials at appropriate locations will help in saving fuel and conventional energy indirectly. Reducing use of high energy materials like cement and steel or recycling waste of these materials will reduce pollution level. This will help in reducing / controlling rising heat on the earth planet.
Use of green concrete i.e. concrete with low embodied energy and carbon e.g alkali activated materials
It is necessary to minimize the natural resource such s sand from the Rivers and instead of that we can propose to use sand from deep sea(dredging the sand beneath the sea) and by using the demolished waste from buildings as course and fine aggregates, as to safe guard the ozone.
