HeartMath is a system of psychological techniques and electronic devices that assess heart intelligence in terms of heart rate variability, especially heart rhythm coherence. A recent overview is attached.
There is not much within the South African Context. More people are calling for the move to Dynamic assessment as a way to assess intelligent since “static” testing situations (traditional Intelligent test) provide minimal information regarding the individual’s learning potential or potential to respond to intervention
In Canada, the Wechsler tests are commonly used (Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale - Fourth Edition and Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children - Fifth Edition) as well as the Woodcock-Johnson - Fourth Edition (Cognitive Battery).
There are several "shorter" tests like the Progressive Matrices or the D48, but the Wechsler scales tend to be the most comprehensive way of assessment and the standards are revised every few years.
Rayees, please keep in mind that no one factor (g) can frame the concept of intelligence. Before you start trying to measure intelligence as a construct take the time to read a bit about the theory of multiple intelligences (proposed by Harvard psychologist Howard Gardner). While there are some criticisms re the range (number of) of "intelligences" Gardner proposes, the fundamental precept that there is no 1 g-factor that can "quantify" a person's intelligence is probably a good perspective to have when going down this rabbit hole.
