I mean what areas in networks and communication are getting active attention. A lot of work has already been done in 802.11, cloud computing, sensor networks. Researchers are moving from cloud computing to fog computing. Sensors networks are involving UAV's. Are there any survey papers available which summarize the future direction?
Hi Neeraj. My suggestion would be to investigate anything and everything being done now, in support of 5G cellular. Much is still undecided, although there are already some trial networks being planned in various parts of the US. There is a lot written on this topic.
