I am working on a rice–mustard cropping system and would like to know about the different agronomic traits/parameters that can be recorded or calculated after harvesting.

Some common traits I am aware of include:

  • Grain/seed yield
  • Harvest index
  • Straw/stover yield

Could you please suggest other important agronomic traits (both for rice and mustard) that can be measured post-harvest for better assessment of crop performance and system productivity?

Any references or standard protocols would also be highly appreciated.
