Adherence to warfarin in cardiac surgery patients in the Russian Federation is low, primarily due to fear of bleeding and reluctance to control the INR. Some patients prefer to take oral anticoagulants, others do not take anticoagulant therapy at all, which often leads to complications. Educational work with patients, as well as the development of new convenient devices for monitoring INR at home, can help solve this problem.
