For light inducing reactions to happen, a UV source is required for imposing light on 5cm X 5cm area. The light should intensively focus on the object where reactions occur.

you don't specify what kind of UV light (whole UV, UVA, UVB or UVC). However, you can find several lamps in commerce. In the past I used fluorescent lamps from Qpanel or Philips.

in the past for our experimets we used fluorescent lamps similar to the one of the link:

The lamp has a spectrum centered on UVB as you can see in the link (maximum at 313 nm).
I know that exist also lamps centred on UVA, but I don't know if you can find a lamp with the whole spectrum.
