As I feel there is no proper policy for vet. Extension. If we compare with agri extension vety extension is far behind. We are not focussing on various ITKs or farmer participatory programms. Moreover a number of startups are coming in agri sector but not in vety. sector. No skill development trainings or programms are going on as per my knowledge. So I don't see any progress towards animal welfare and increasing production and farmers income. That's why we are seeing a decrease in trend towards animal rearing.

Yeah Dr Bhatt.. i think extension education should be a fountain head of policy reforms directing the programme implementation at ground level. But in veterinary extension we dont have enough no. of experts and department has to face a neglected eye in almost every veterinary college. Academic scientists take extension for granted.

treatment is the first hand choice of field veterinarian owing to different reasons. No body wants to go for extension.
