Wait, are you asking about dispersion as in "dispersion force" (=van der Waals) or dispersion as in "getting insoluble stuff into a liquid" (=your tags)? Those two things may have the same name, but they are not identical and this will probably prevent the right people from finding your question. For the first one, check out this paper:

and the references therein. Concerning surfactants and proper choices, a good starter would be the works by H. Kataura first (there's a lot of them, just google him) and proceed to people who cite him.
