I do not do much with clouds. My specialization is to recover data from corrupted media. I only work with media to which I have physical access. From this point of view, the cloud is the same data carrier as any other.
The basic difference between cloud and other media is the way of access. You can only get to the cloud through the network. You must have appropriate access data. And you can not really do much beyond copying and analyzing available content.
