For those who are involved in higher education teaching and learning processes, I intend to calculate universities and colleges faculties to student’s ratio, taking into consideration that we have full time and part time lecturers. Some of these part timers they teach only 1-4 hours per week.
Anyone have an idea how to calculate the faculties’ students ratio for part timers?

but one issue , full timers work for 40 hours per week but for teaching load it deponds on thier ranks. fo example, professors will have 9 credit hours per week, associate and assiatnat professors will have 12 credit hours per-week and lectuerers will have 15 hours per week. as for the prat timers they will come only fo tecahing for example 3 credit hours per week
I am not sure to where I compare them to the full time hours per week or to their teaching credit hours load
Just an opinion... I think academic staff can be compared for their credit hours and non-academic for actual working time. As academic part time usually spend time at home to prepare lectures and material, full time academic may have more or less than the determined credit hours and flexible working hours. So logically you may count the number of part time academic staffs and calculate the average working hours for them and accumulate their hours to match one in the same rank. I mean, let suppose the average of part time professor is 3 hours/week. Then, three part time professors (9 hours) count as one full time professor. But I do not know if this acceptable in a formal report.

full time 8 hours a dayfor 5 days a week is --40 hours per week --with academic load as per tittle like lecturer 12 hours teaching per week,Assistant professor 8 hours per week, associate professor 4-6 lectures per week and professor 2-4 week per week.
student and teacher ratio varies in different dept-- the dept having just theory may have 1:25 student teachers ratio whereas in dept with labs or clinical work it reduces to 1:10-15
