There are several providers of transcriptome library prep kits for sequencing on Illumina instruments, like:
- Illumina (TrueSeq Stranded mRNA Liprary Prep Kit)
- Kapa (Stranded RNA Seq Kit)
- NEB (NEBNext Ultra Directional RNA Library Prep Kit)
According to NEB's own advertising, the NEB kit has approx. twice the yield of Kapa, which again is clearly better than Illumina.
Have anyone compared these kits, both in yield and in easiness of handling/procedure? Any recommendations?
