While I do not reall specifically about ethical guidelines, I found Ethan Mollick;s "Co-Intelligence: Living and Working with AI" useful regarding related matters (see the link to my review below).
AI can play a valuable role in academic and action research, but its use must remain ethically transparent and researcher-driven. It is best applied as a supportive tool—for data analysis, drafting, or visualization—while the core intellectual contributions such as problem framing, interpretation, and conclusions must remain with humans. Ethical guidelines emphasize accountability, disclosure of AI use, acknowledgment, and strict avoidance of plagiarism or fabricated content.
In essence, AI should be seen as a research assistant, not a co-author—enhancing productivity without compromising originality, integrity, or responsibility in scientific work.
