Generally the addition of ceramic particles can improve the wear properties of polymers, so, what is the preffered dimension of these ceramic particles, micro or nanosized and what is the reasons?
By my experience, thermoset composites are not the best solution for better wear behaviour. Anyway, we obtained good results by using carbon nanoparticles (CNT, graphite and graphene). But if you intend to use ceramics, I think the nanoscale particles could be better; the microparticles of ceramics are much harder than thermosets and could give abrasive wear. In these circumstances the only thing you can do is to use nanoceramics.
