So I created a timeline of my research leading towards the essay I am writing (the timeline itself is another assignment). When trying to summarise some thoughts on the interpretation of the timeline, I realised I couldn't decide if I thought it was self-sustaining (rhizomatic in its relativity) or reliant on input (It remains static unless I change it). If anyone has a view on this I'd be glad to hear it.

Thank you Dr Yogesh, the links you provided are really useful. I'm working on how to ascribe moral status to non-human life such as A.I. and treating the informational patterning as either autopoiesis or allopoiesis is one way of considering self-preservation in systems. The links give a really good description of the processes and ones that I'm sure to abstract into my research. Thanks again.
