In terms of research on students in higher education profile, we note the diversity of profiles of interest or even search content for learning outside of the classroom. The space of class ends up being, for many students, the only learning space in a learning process that takes place only for the transmission of concepts and knowledge, unless it concerns their applicability.
There is little interest to research and read the texts prior to completion of the classes.
My question is for a comparative study: there is, in your role as professor, this same feature in the students ?
A good part depends on the type of education process that a student has got prior to his coming to a college to undertake his studies.All these students do not have the same type of these processes.Those of whom had the advantage over the others,scored over the normal.For these prime category,the class room was not the only source to garner knowledge & information.They intensively interacted with other teachers,referred libraries,other students in other collages & the net.A professor will then have to see that each & every minute that a student spends in a college is fruitfully used for the students career.Field work,extensive laboratory work,assignments,subject matter discussions in order to clear any doubts are part of a students work.
The general trend is that students almost never reach up to a professor's expectations in terms of these academic processes.This again depends up on various factors like his background,types of friends,ability to comprehend,health,level of education in societies & the places where he lives.

The predictors are substantially important, but the differences are not at all in the backgrounds. I have see students that be prepared at good schools and not demonstrate ability or like to realize more than the listen to classes. It is incredible.
Higher education in different countries means differently for the students of that particular country or area.For the student where I teach, majority of the students who register for higher education needs only certificate for the improvement in their job,there are some who are just engaged in college to have permit for residence and very few of them wants really to learn. Now where does come the questions of concerns that u have raised. But for a real college where all the students have come to get best of the education they have to depend a lot on the class teaching because its the place where they come to know what they have to learn and how it should be acheived. Professor have a grea deal of responsiblity not only to teach but guide them as well what they should do after their classes.
As professor, we are exposed to the variety of students type. Alumni are prepared or not! But our role is to motivate them to see the world as differently than they viewed at precedent times.
