This is a serious logistic issue sir, as most of the vaccines which have been manufactured and are being brought to the market need to be stored at minus temperatures and unless and until we are ready with our action plan and transport carriage system, there will be a huge loss to the nation.

I think international organizations such as UN and/or other international organizations could help in this regard. Otherwise, it will be a big dilemma for poor countries.

• thermal shippers utilizing dry ice to maintain recommended storage temperature conditions of -70°C±10°C for up to 10 days unopened. The intent is to utilize Pfizer-strategic transportation partners to ship by air to major hubs within a country/region and by ground transport to dosing locations.
• We will utilize GPS-enabled thermal sensors with a control tower that will track the location and temperature of each vaccine shipment across their pre-set routes, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Once thawed and stored under 2-8°C conditions, the vials cannot be re-frozen or stored under frozen conditions.

Dear Naithani, thanks for providing the updated info. But, my worry is how far implementation would be successful. Are the countries ready with storage and refrigerated equipment and trained personnel?

Its not the first tume that we had to maintain cold under -70 degree C. The ebola vaccine haa been distributed under the same constrsint . And in addition they used a very smart way to msintain the cold chain with paasive container called Arktek. I will be delighted to help and support the construction of the SuperThermos under a very high insulation ( vaccum).
