The nutrient P can be measured either as available P or total P. My question is: When looking at the change in plant species compositions, does it make a difference whether it is modeled against available or total P?

Further, is the (potential) difference present across habitats, or is it habitat specific? I specifically work on a salt meadow.

I hope that some of you know of studies, or have conducted them yourself, that can help me shed light on this question.
