The following equation is generally used for the calculations of the ratio of hypocholesterolemic /hypercholesterolemic (h/H) fatty acids, or h/H fatty acids index (Santos-Silva et al. 2002; doi:10.1016/s0301-6226(02)00059-3).

h/H=(C18:1+C18:2+ C20:3+C20:4+C20:5+C22:4+C22:5+C22:6)/(C14:0+C16:0)

My question is what about C20:1 and C20:2 fatty acids? do we need to include them as hypercholesterolemic fatty acids? (if our sample contains such fatty acids).
