The Purpose of Life! ; Editorial by Bahai Faith
We must develop tolerance at the level of senses and mind as per guidelines of the scriptures to have lasting peace and happiness in life, the statement "He who discards scriptural injunctions and acts according to his own whims attains neither perfection, nor happiness, nor the supreme destination"(Gita,16.23), is worth recalling here. M. K. Gandhi declared that he was open to assimilate facts from different religions till they suit to his heart and mind and developing such an understanding is the call of time as, thanks to the advancements made in the field of science and technology, we live in a fully connected world today and so maintaining contrasting realities with regard to the philosophy of religion in parts of the world w’d go against the very purpose of the mankind. It is high time we put an end to kinds of conflict of interest that are maintained on the name of religion and culture for years as yet to allow one and all fulfillment of material level successes and opportunity to get educated into higher ideals of life to reach the destined goals better with time.
