I am new to simulink and am simulating a PV module with a buck converter. As you see from the equation of the output current eq(1), there will be algebraic loop. I tried a unit delay and memory to break it, it works when I test the PV module alone with a variable resistance at the output and it yeled correct results. But a unit delay or memory blocks can change the dynamic behavior of the system, so is there a way to get around the algebraic loop problem ?
hi as I know using a delay or memory block is not a good idea and you should never break the loop with them. for my case I tried to simplify the equations or use mfile instead of simulink. but maybe you can try to create x=(V+RI)/Rp then your function is I=Iph+I0(exp(Rp/VT*x)-1)+x; I mean by seprating these 2 parts you might have some results.
The current equation you get from a PV has to be solved using some form of successive approximation process. So you can't just put it in a simple simulator. You have to arrange a solver to reach the answer using a procedure that converges. Then when you get this answer you can put it in your overall simulator. It is a bit more complicated but it will work. Best wishes with your research!

If you are new to simulink and you want to interface PV to your load through boost converter than why don't you use PV module from library and get your job done ? Unless you are trying to improve the module itself.
Shah Fahad , Thank you for your reply. I did not use that model because it is not the same as my solar panel even with changing the parameters.
May be i am unable to understand your query. To my knowledge, you can change parameters and design the panel according to your desire. Anyways good luck.

Try to change the solver (Euler ODe1 ) and put the simple time equal to 1e-4 s,than add the memory block Z-1

When you load the solar module by an inverter, then for a given load you have to adjust the PULSE WIDTH of the inverter to operate the module at the maximum power point under the the specified temperature and simulation condition.Then you have to get the maximum power point Vom and Iom, then you apply Vom on the inverter and vary its PULSE WIDTH till the input current to the inverter reaches Iom.
