The ID/IG value is found to be 0.7 in Raman spectrum of carbon. What can I predict about the resulting structure of carbon? (Raman spectrum consisting of D and G peak)

First, in order to properly use your Raman spectra, you should deconvolute your signal into 3 lorentzians G1, D1, D2 and 2 gaussian D3 and D4. In fact, if you take the D/G ratio without devonvolution, it has low meaning, particularly for very low organized carbon species ! Look at this publication (and the deconvolution spectra in supporting information) and if you want more informations, you should give a look to Santamaria, Sadezky or Ferrari works. Then you can use the Sze and Song equation to approximate the length and the thickness of the crystallite, it can be very useful to compare different sample.

For sure MWNT. SWNT have D/G in the order 0.0x. Everything above is MWNT.
Well, he didn't say anything about the carbon configuration, so hard to know if we are talking about CNT or not ! Plus, the deconvolution is really mandatory for an efficient D1/G1 calculation as other contribution are overlapping (D2, D3, D4).
