Not only translation and interpretation will undergo through major changes but also different sectors.
Mahmood Yenkimaleki These have been going on for a long time now. In 2010 I was living in the UK and interpreting for a company in Canada. It was done over the phone. Mainly medical. The doctor would call the service provider who then directs the call to my phone and I pick, the doctor introduces the setting and participants and we get into business.
So I agree with you in that remote interpreting will be heightened, i.e., there will be more need for such mode of interpreting post-covid
