Publishing in a reputable journal could be a daunting enterprise; even when your paper is accepted with minor modifications, minor does not mean little and it may translate to hectic work tidying up odds and ends.
Also, because a paper is an organic whole, once you touch an item, it may trigger other changes.
Sometimes, the work seems endless, yet you have limited time to turn in your piece.
What specific challenges (which may vary from paper to paper, journal to journal) have you faced at this stage in the past and how did you navigate the journey at that point?
Thanks for the invitation. Review, when rigorous refines a paper to gain more recognition in the global academic discourse. Sometimes the review takes great deal of time. I just had the review comments of a manuscript I sent, two years ago. The process can be very slow, demanding more work for improvement and so forth.
Hardworking pays heavily but a waiting attitude helps you get gold in terms of the final published version.
