According to an ongoing temperature analysis conducted by scientists at NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), the average global temperature on Earth has increased by about 0.8° Celsius (1.4° Fahrenheit) since 1880. Two-thirds of the warming has occurred since 1975, at a rate of roughly 0.15-0.20°C per decade.
Although some exotic climatic events would have occurred naturally, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) says that emissions of greenhouse gases have increased the risk of these extreme events by 10 or more times.

Another problem we have to educate people about is that the pollution is caused by invisible gases in the air. The Oil companies were hoping - for 100 years or more- that you wouldn't realize the pollution in the air that has caused this rise in temperature and its disastrous effects.
The high temperature of the earth's atmosphere is a result of the gases emitted from the factories and the means of transport, in addition to the cutting down of forest trees and the deprivation of land from the trees that get rid of CO2.
Eco friendly technological development must be promoted for temperature control.

Presently, the share of renewable energies is 20% and that of non-renewable energy (fossil fuels and nuclear energy) is 80%. We have to revert this trend i.e. the share of carbon neutral energies like solar power, hydropower, wind power, biofuels and geothermal energy should be more than 50% to reduce the CO2 emission in the atmosphere. All the technologies that we have developed provided safe passage of our culprit (CO2). For example in transport we provided silencers for the safe passage of culprit and in industries there is also a same situation. There should be system that kill or trap CO2. Regards.

I think, there is a level for the amount of aerosol and greenhouse molecules in the atmosfer. Below than that level, earth automatically reduce those molecules in atmosfer, but crossing that level will not easily return back. A world war, which lay on nuclear weapons may unbalanced it.

Dear Colleagues and Friends from RG, Unfortunately, yes, the average temperature at the Earth's surface is increasing year by year, and it is indeed dangerous for the world, because it can lead to climatic Armageddon in the late 21st century. A lot of scientific data from climatologists' research indicates that the global warming process has entered a strong upward trend and perhaps humanity has little influence on the change in the pace of this process. However, regardless of this, we should do everything we can regarding the implementation of the principles of sustainable ecological development, including the necessary ecological reforms primarily in the energy sector by developing renewable energy sources, electromobility, development of organic farming, improving waste segregation techniques, recycling, etc. These reforms ecological ones implemented in accordance with the green economy philosophy are necessary to at least partially slow down the global warming process. We owe it to next generations, we owe it to our children and grandchildren. One of the key elements and goals of the green economy philosophy, i.e. primarily the implementation of pro-ecological reforms consisting in the implementation of the principles of sustainable pro-ecological economic development, is nature protection, protection of natural biological ecosystems, protection of terrestrial biodiversity and its preservation for future generations.
Due to the faster and faster global warming process, many areas of arable fields in the subtropical and temperate zone will undergo partial or complete drying and sterilization in the next few to several dozen years and will not be suitable for agricultural purposes without irrigation. Irrigation costs will be key. If it is economical to carry out irrigation and possibly also to build greenhouses adapted to areas covered by long-lasting drought, then soil fertilization techniques should also be used. Fertilization can be carried out with cheaper industrial technologies using chemical fertilizers or more expensive technologies using fertilizers of organic origin, i.e. in accordance with the principles of organic farming.
Continuation of the greenhouse gas emission process and the associated faster and faster Global Warming process will result in: - increased drainage of many land areas, - reducing the acreage of many natural green areas that produce oxygen and absorb carbon, - increase in scale and frequency of fires, - thawing of permafrost in the Arctic and Arctic regions, which will release millions of tons of frozen methane, - thawing of glaciers, - etc. All these processes will accelerate the progressing Global Warming process in subsequent years and trigger a sort of chain reaction of the Global Warming process.
In recent years, the number of cases of weather anomalies and climate disasters caused by climate change related to the increasingly faster global warming process is growing rapidly. The increasingly faster global warming process is the result of an increase in greenhouse gas emissions emitted by industry and the energy sector producing electricity and heat based on the burning of minerals. In addition, the increase in greenhouse gas emissions is due to the development of the automotive industry also powered by burning minerals. Greenhouse gases are also emitted by agriculture, mainly livestock production carried out using traditional production technologies without complying with the principles of organic farming. In addition, the burning of garbage, including plastics, causes greenhouse gases and toxic to humans and other forms of life chemical compounds to be released into the atmosphere. Due to the warming climate of the Earth, the consumption of electricity is growing, because the houses are installed ever larger refrigerators, refrigerators, air conditioners and more electronic devices enabling access to the Internet. The increase in demand for electricity causes a rapid increase in generation capacity in traditional power plants generating this energy based on traditional energy, consisting in burning increasingly larger amounts of hard coal, lignite, mazout from crude oil and other minerals.

For example, recently (August and September 2019) there were Siberian Tundra forest fires at the Arctic Circle, fires of large areas of the Amazon rainforest, forest fires in many places in Europe and in many other places of other continents. Currently (November 2019) large areas of forests in Australia are burning. This is another very negative effect of the more and more frequent drought and other weather anomalies being a derivative of the progressing global warming process. Droughts and fires very quickly cause impoverishment of biodiversity, soil sterility, degradation of natural environments, decline in the number of living organisms, extinction of many species of flora and fauna and other negative processes.
Therefore, quick actions are necessary to extinguish this fire and implement in Brazil and other countries programs of systemic implementation of sustainable ecological development in accordance with the green economy philosophy. It is not easy in the situation of a developing country, a country that is just developing its industry and technology in order to achieve a level of economic development similar to the level of income, equipment with technologies etc. in highly developed countries. Therefore, systematic international assistance is needed for Brazil and other developing countries, which lack funds for implementing eco-innovations and implementing ecological reforms, among others in the field of development of renewable energy sources and limiting the plundering economy of obtaining wood from Amazon rainforests. The Amazon rainforest fires are a serious SOS signal sent by nature towards humanity. There is less and less time for the implementation of the necessary pro-ecological activities. These are no longer paraphylosophical deliberations as was thought in public opinion at the turn of the 20th century. The progressing global warming process is a fact. It is also a fact that climate change, which is unfavorable for life on Earth, is primarily the responsibility of man.
Climatologists estimate that the necessary pro-ecological reforms in global terms should be carried out by 2030 at the latest for effective slowing of the global warming process to be effective. If this plan is not implemented, then by the end of the 21st century the average temperature at the Earth's surface will increase by another min. 3-4 degrees, which will result in an increase in climate disasters. Earlier there will be a complete melting of glaciers, the release of methane from the thawing Siberian tundra and other polar regions, an increase in drought, fires and volcanic eruptions. This will cause a chain reaction of climatic disasters that are a derivative of global warming and at the same time the same processes will be the source of further greenhouse gas emissions and an increase in the average temperature at the Earth's surface. If the climate change process enters the aforementioned chain reaction of climate disasters related to the global warming process, then it will not be possible to stop and significantly slow down these negative processes on Earth's life. However, there are still a few, max. several years to implement environmentally friendly reforms globally, implement sustainable economic development in economic processes carried out in accordance with the green economy philosophy. Therefore, the current question is: Will humanity use this remaining time to implement this plan. It is the biggest global civilization challenge for humanity in the 21st century.
Regardless of the real possibilities of slowing down the global warming process, however, it is the man who should reduce all or most of the greenhouse gas emissions as soon as possible, reform the energy sector through the development of renewable energy sources and carry out other pro-ecological reforms to implement the principles of sustainable ecological development and according to the green economy philosophy in subsequent years, intensify activities in the field of nature protection, protection of natural biological ecosystems, protection of terrestrial biodiversity and its preservation for future generations.

As much as we would like to believe that human activity does not affect the Earth's climate in any way, this is far from the case. The temperature on our planet sets new records every year, and this, as you know, is unlikely to end up with something good for us.
That the main cause of global warming is considered to be a change in the gas composition of the atmosphere, which leads to an increase in the greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect is an increase in the temperature of the lower layers of the Earth's atmosphere compared to the effective temperature, that is, the temperature of the planet's thermal radiation observed from space.
The greatest harm to the atmosphere is caused by human activity. Of course, natural factors such as volcanic emissions or solar activity also play a role in increasing the greenhouse effect, but they can hardly compete with the huge amount of fossil fuels burned and various industrial processes. It is carbon dioxide that is considered the longest-lived in the Earth's atmosphere. China currently produces the most carbon dioxide.
The consequences of global warming are very disappointing for humanity. The level of the World's oceans will rise, the amount of precipitation will change, and natural disasters such as floods, droughts, and hurricanes will become more frequent. We may even see a decline in crop yields in some countries due to longer growing seasons. Warming can also lead to the extinction of many species whose existence is already under threat.
What exactly is the threat of global warming? The Federal hydrometeorological center highlights several important points. First, as mentioned above, there is a risk of prolonged droughts in some regions and flooding in others, which is very dangerous for agriculture. Secondly, it increases the fire hazard in the forests. Third, there is a risk of damage to buildings and communications built on the permafrost territory as a result of its degradation. Fourth, some species may be displaced by others. In conclusion, we expect a significant increase in electricity consumption for air conditioning in the summer season for a significant number of localities.
But global warming in Russia also has positive aspects. It will be possible to shift the boundaries of agriculture to the North of the country, which will lead to an increase in the number of agricultural land. In the winter season, we will spend less energy on heating. Also, as a result of warming, the navigation period on the Northern sea route will significantly increase.
Anyway, scientists continue to study this problem and try to develop a "plan to save" the planet Earth from global warming.
