At the first glance, it seems understandable that researchers in research institutions are more productive than researchers in universities, which are engaged also in educational activities. However, the majority of most prolific scientists are working at universities (especially at the best ones). Their progress is usually strongly connected to the scientific research and publishing.

Teaching and research are two sides of a coin. Both enriches each other. In my views, both must be balanced in the work assignments. Any one with excess load will affect the other. Teaching assignment with maximum 3-4 classes of on hour duration is good for both teaching as well research.

I hope, the Goal of any university faculty is Teaching only as per the recruitment of Professor, Associate professor and Assistant Professor. This all position to promote the research among the students.
