I agree with you. I'm Technology and Desing teacher. We do Arduinos (electronic design), CADs (Computer Aided Design), CAMs (Computer Aided Manufactoring) etc. with our students in our lessons. Of course firstly we have to know all of them. And because of this in our country, we can join online educations about which area we want. These courses really helpful for guiding our students. Otherwise, as you said, education cannot be improved without teacher cooperation.
