I just want to know the stability of amino acid in water? can we make stock solution of amino acid and for how many days it will last? since I am working in amino acid which is very costly so once I made it higher concentrated solution and from there i used this solution. but many times I have observed that after few days it precipitated or suspended. so what is this is it breakdown or what? also after sonicating it des not work.
I think that depends on which solution you dissolved your aminoacids. Some will require an aqueous environment, acidic pH... but others, the addition of detergents. When I work with small peptides, generally I use DMSO to dissolve them but that depends on each sample.
Depends on your amino acid, not all are soluble on water. Check the preparation and storage conditions proposed by the vendor (Sigma aldrich webpage has these infos)
