Dear colleagues, I am planning to start learning object-oriented databases and looking for some ideally freeware database that would have a user interface to a declarative query language similar to SQL. Programming classes and methods of objects should be in a well-known language Python, Lisp or Java / Swift / C #. Thank You.
you can install sql server and install sqlyog community, and install intelliJ Idea for java coding.
Java is a good option. Libraries are available for most database management systems!
I recommend you C# language, which ensures integration with many database management systems, for example SQL Management Server.
I have only used relational DBs but there is a reasonable comparison on wikipedia that can start your inquiry into which DB software will meet your needs there a few free or GPLlicenced

I use sqlite3 the database is free and there that downloadable pdf files, including books, one from Tutorials Point as well as a definitive guide from Apress that might be useful.

mysql is free , supported in most OOP programming languages, and there are several resources you can learn from. If you want to extend your implementation to Mobile platforms, I will recommend sqLite. It is also free
